She acquired a Bachelors of Fine Art at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, concentrating in Ceramics and Printmaking in 2015.

In 2016, Lacey moved to Greenville, North Carolina to pursue her Master of Fine Art at East Carolina University. Her graduate work comprised of ceramics, glass, fiber arts, and mixed media sculpture. After obtaining her MFA in 2019, Lacey began teaching as an adjunct faculty at ECU and Pitt Community College.

Lacey continues to teach at both ECU and PCC. She has attended workshops at Penland School of Crafts and Pocosin Arts. Lacey continues to explore creative interdisciplinary art processes, along side teaching and spending time with her family. These relationships inform her practice as a maker. β€œArt is life, life is art, I do not separate the two.” -Ai Weiwei
